Ceramics & Cocktails, Hand-building 1
Beginner Hand-building + cocktails, 8x Tuesdays starting June 9th, 7-9pm
Service Description
If you've been looking for a creative outlet that feels more like hanging out with friends than sitting in a class, this is it. Eight weeks of clay, craft cocktails, and actually making stuff you're proud of. This is a low-key beginner hand-building course, so no experience needed — just show up. Every class kicks off with a short demo (usually 15–30 minutes) where I walk through a specific technique, and then the rest of the night is yours. Studio time is relaxed and supported, so you can build, experiment, sip your drink, and just get into it. Throughout the eight weeks we'll cover the fundamentals — how clay behaves, pinch and coil building, how to connect pieces and handles so they don't fall apart, explore glaze and abstract art, and even getting into sculptural or creature-inspired work if that's your thing. The first 5 weeks will focus on making and building with the last three reserved for decorating, glazing and finishing work. By the time we wrap up, most students leave with 5–8 finished works. Some functional, some weird, all yours. Schedule - Tuesday nights 7-9pm, 06/09 - 07/28 Pricing - 6 of 8 sessions: $335 all in 8 of 8 sessions: $385 all in Includes cocktails, materials, firing for up to 10 pieces, then $5 each after that.
