This course is a great next step for folks who've spent some time handbuilding and are ready to go deeper. To get the most out of it, you should feel comfortable with the basics — pinch pots, coil pots, and connecting pieces (scoring and slipping). If you've taken an intro class or built on your own and those feel familiar, you're in the right place. Every class kicks off with a demo (30 minutes), but we'll be getting into territory that takes a little more patience and problem-solving. Think slab building, compound and multi-part pots, more intentional construction techniques, and projects that push you a bit further. Studio time stays relaxed and supported, but you'll be making things that feel a little more ambitious. Over eight weeks we'll dig into slab construction, building compound forms, and more precise joining and structural work that goes beyond the basics. The first five weeks focus on building and construction, with the last three reserved for finishing, glazing, and getting your work ready to take home.
